This is a great video about how everyone can interact with the #Occupy movement, no matter what you’re agenda.
The most important point about this movement is that it is allowing us the space to imagine AND share in building a New vision of the world and its systems, with people at the center.
Successful public art exhibit, the inspiring “Trailer Park” by Kim Holleman parked in the shrubbery starved corner of the Morgan L stop in Bushwick. This little pop-up park allows for the passerby to take a moment of peace, to breathe and commune with a variety of plants. This is a great little spot to enjoy a lunch, great use of public space!

Everyone was singing, and after this my friend Samantha and I ran around hugging everyone, including a few cops on the sideline. My approach is to ignore their violent, fear inducing tactics as much as possible, under that uniform they are naked, and under that skin is a live beating heart.
I believe it was the anarchist revolutionaire Emma Goldman that said,
“If I can’t dance I don’t want to be a part of your revolution”
In context, the story goes that she was pulled aside by a comrade amidst a party in which she was ”one of the most untiring and gayest” and told that her dancing would jeopardize the cause of revolution.
“ I did not believe that a Cause which stood for a beautiful ideal, for release and freedom from conventions and prejudice, should demand the denial of life and joy. ”

My good friend Valerie Veatch is producing a feature length film about the multi-faceted Chris Crocker. In this video he talks about bullying, specifically for sexual identity. I think this message needs to be brought to attention. Especially since the number of suicides I’ve read in the paper from kids as young as seven being bullied for being different. The message is still and always will be, we are all of the same existence and our differences only add more color to the “rainbow”. Bullies, grow out of it, you are made of the same guts.

Being in New York City right now, the Occupy Wall Street Movement has become a very beautiful and active happening within and beyond our community.
There are people coming together and sharing in conversation and loving and being compassionate and NON-VIOLENT and civil and vocal and creative!

Don’t believe the violence or madness that the media is trying to spread about this group of people. There are so many different people involved, it really is everyone. And they all are a lot like YOU!

The whole world was watching, waiting for the Supreme Court to do whats right. I am absolutely let down by every single person in power. We need to develop ourselves honestly and fully to see that power is a gift not to be abused by ego.

This is a creative peace marketing strategy by Code Pink photoset at the Wall Street Occupation yesterday. My friend who is filming there, who has been camped out since Saturday had this to say:
“We are protesting money’s influence on the U.S. Government. We are based in Zuccotti Park aka Liberty Square where hundreds of activists have been living in an intentional community for 4 days with a full scale office and kitchen with electricity, supported by hundreds of donors and the interest and good will of the general public. The NYPD officers have been sympathetic and enthusiastic, interested in the cause, and the community in Zuccotti Park, although the supervisors and a few dominate officers have shown their lack of sense of humor and good will with now 15 arrests for wearing bandanas in the protest, touching police barracades, writing in chalk on the sidewalk, and refusing to take down tarps to protect from the rain. The demonstrators desperately need your support and a visit to the Zuccotti Park to continue to make the public question their complacency in the Government, bank and corporate monopoly.”
